Capri

One of our favourite spots...  no wonder the rich and famous summer here.  We took a day trip over from Sorrento, spent a few hours on a smaller tour boat circling the island and then took a chair lift up to the very top.  Then we hiked down the mountain to the ocean on the southern beaches and (thankfully) caught a bus back up.  It was very hot that day but one of the best days we had.  Enjoy the shots.

Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast,

After Garda, we drove back south and stopped at Sorrento for 4-5 days.  We had a very noisy campsite just off one of those cliffs above the marina in the shot below but we didn't spend a lot of time there anyway as the drives were out of this world.

We never got tired of that drive into Sorrento from Pompei/Naples

You wouldn't believe the road you had to drive down to get to the marina (also where we took the boat to Capri).  It was single lane and had so many corners our little Ford wagon (which had the turning radius of a battleship) had to do 4 point turns to get around some of the hairpins.    When we took our cruise... we walked down!
